As I have been blessed and inspired so many times by reading the testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals, my desire is that my testimony bless others and glorify God.

I am deeply grateful for the periodicals. This is how I found Christian Science. A friend gave me a Sentinel to read when I was eighteen. I suffered with backaches that the medical profession was unable to cure. I read and reread the same Sentinel many times and was inspired by truths it contained. I was healed of the backaches, and I knew without a shadow of doubt that if I ever decided to get serious in any religion Christian Science would be the one.

Later I was married and had a child. From the age of four to the age of twelve the child suffered from epilepsy. When he was twelve, I decided with renewed earnestness it was time to study and gain a better understanding of God and man. I contacted a Christian Science practitioner who helped me to be stronger in my realization of the scientific, spiritual truth. One night the child came to me and said he felt he was going to have another attack. I told him to declare that God didn't make it. If it wasn't of God it was a lie, and we don't accept lies. In his child faith, he rejected the lie. That was the last spell he had. He is thirty-one now, has gone through military service, and is in perfect health.
