For many years I have relied solely on the help of God and the healing power of Christ, Truth, in all difficulties, as we learn to do in Christian Science.

While I was in the Far East during the Second World War, I had a healing of food poisoning. The passage from Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy that brought about an instantaneous healing reads (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive."

Recently a flu epidemic went through our area. I, too, became ill, and when the illness was compounded by asthma, I asked a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help. There were many false beliefs to correct, including fear. Through our holding on to the fact that God is our Life, our Mind, the complete healing came about. Mrs. Eddy writes (Science and Health, p. 66), "Trials are proofs of God's care." They contribute toward our growth in spiritual understanding as we gain our healing through stronger reliance on God.

I am very grateful to God for His revelation of Christian Science to Mrs. Eddy. This divine Science blesses us daily.
