Trusting this statement of gratitude will be of help and comfort to others, as so many testimonies have been of help to me, I relate the following. Some years ago I was healed in Christian Science after I suffered a heart attack. I was at home, my wife was at my side, and the began vehemently declaring the truth of life "hid with Christ in God" (Col. 3:3). Then she began to repeat aloud the Lord's Prayer. Soon, I was able to join her, though feebly at first. When I regained full consciousness, I was declaring over and over again, with her, the truths in that beloved prayer the Master, Christ Jesus, taught.

My wife then got me into bed and called the Christian Science practitioner who had so faithfully seen me through other difficulties. It was he whom I sought out when first discovering this Christianly Scientific way of life. How grateful I have always been that he was readily available to take up the prayerful work of Christian Science treatment in this case! After we called my office and advised them that I would not be there, we spent the remainder of that day and two following days in constant study of the Bible and of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy.

Actually, the second day I felt able to go to the office, but my wife insisted that we have a season of study and prayer before I returned. Three days later I was at my usual post, serving in the capacity for which I had been trained. I said very little about my experience to my associates, except that I had passed through a difficult challenge.
