I would like to express my gratitude for Christian Science and my love for God and His goodness. I have witnessed many beautiful healings in Christian Science, my own and those of members of my family. Some of the healings were those of periodic earaches, a mashed finger, a painful throat condition, heart murmur, and painful knee joints. I would like to share one healing in particular that has always inspired me.

When our daughter was a toddler, her brother pulled the wagon she was standing in, and she fell over backwards, striking the back of her head on the concrete curbing. I was in the house at the time and heard her screaming. She came running toward me, and I picked her up in my arms and carried her to the bedroom and commenced singing hymns from the Christian Science Hymnal to her, to calm both of us. I noticed she was getting sleepier and sleepier. Soon her eyes were rolling, and she no longer had control of her head.

I declared out loud many comforting truths I had learned in Christian Science, of God's care for His own, and confidently knew that God was her Life, the only Life she had. I felt I needed prayerful support and called a Christian Science practitioner who had helped me many times. I explained the circumstances and she said she would begin praying right away. I held the child in the cradle of my arm.
