"The Father supplies every daily need"
A Prayer for All Seasons
Has it ever occurred to you, as it did to me quite suddenly one day, that Jesus taught his followers only one prayer—the one we call the Lord's Prayer?
At the time I was deep in the woods clearing out underbrush. It was quiet, beautiful, and peaceful—a good setting for prayer.
My thought went to Christ Jesus' instructions to his disciples on what the surroundings should be for effective prayer. He said, "When thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly."Matt. 6:6; He then proceeded to tell them how to pray, and these instructions surely apply to his followers in all periods.
