One day at school it was time for me to go to band practice
One day at school it was time for me to go to band practice. My friends and I were looking forward to practicing on our instruments because of the fun we have. The reasons I like band are the harmony, the togetherness, and our teacher. He is kind and has a sense of humor, which comes out when he tells us if we are doing well or not.
On the way to practice, my friend Kevin said, "We have a concert in a month and a half." Wayne said, "I hope we get our pieces today." I was thinking while my friends were discussing the concert, "We'd better practice hard so we sound good and please the audience."
Then our recess teacher blew the whistle. Everyone lined up. As we were lining up, a teacher who was playing football was passing the ball to one of my classmates. The ball was underthrown and was coming right at me. I tried to catch it so it wouldn't hit me hard. The ball hit the end of my finger and threw my knuckle out of place. My finger started to swell, and it bothered me.
