COME OUT
We can come out
from all that's dark and cold,
from poverty
and all that would hold
God's child in the grasp
of evil's way.
We can come out,
proving as we pray.
We need not—lonely,
hopeless too and sad—
stay yearning for release
from what seems bad.
Joyous, daily,
we must every moment know
that Love is giving
us the way to go.
Mildred D. Johnson
