"The very circumstance, which your suffering sense deems wrathful and afflictive, Love can make an angel entertained unawares." Surely this statement by Mrs. Eddy in Science and Health, page 574, has been proved to me. Since I became a serious student of Christian Science some four years ago, I have received many healings and have been richly blessed.

As a child and young woman I attended Christian Science Sunday School but drifted away from church during the latter years of my marriage. When the marriage broke up, I seemed unable to face the situation and became quite despondent. However, one day, desperately seeking help, I went to a Christian Science Reading Room. The librarian talked to me for some time about the healing efficacy of this religion, and I decided to seek the help of a Christian Science practitioner that very day.

There have been many lessons to learn and much bitterness, self-will, and self-justification to overcome. The compassion and understanding of the practitioner at that first visit so encouraged me that I knew from the calm and, yes, joy that I felt that healing had already started taking place. Within days friends spoke of the remarkable change in my appearance and outlook.
