It's Right to Seek God's Help!

God is a tender, loving Father-Mother, One we can turn to for help with any problem—mental, moral, or physical. We can turn to Him nonstop, and still not exhaust His tenderly patient, unlimited care.

We learn more of Him through prayer. Mrs. Eddy devotes the beginning chapter of the textbook, Science and Health, to this vital subject. And elsewhere in this book she writes: "To ignore God as of little use in sickness is a mistake. Instead of thrusting Him aside in times of bodily trouble, and waiting for the hour of strength in which to acknowledge Him, we should learn that He can do all things for us in sickness as in health." Science and Health, p. 166;

How should we turn to Him? With half hopes that He will favor our request? Or should we approach Him with the prayer of heartfelt understanding—that is, with a knowledge of and respect for His eternal laws? When one is equipped with what Christian Science reveals of God and man, seeking out Mind's solution to a problem is no hit-or-miss proposition.
