It is with sincere gratitude for many blessings received through the study and application of Christian Science that I submit this testimony.
On Christmas Eve in 1968 while playing football in the yard, our twelve-year-old son fell, landing on his shoulder. As he hit the ground, he heard a loud pop. This and the extreme pain which followed indicated that a bone in the shoulder had been broken. He became very fearful. I was away from home when the accident occurred but returned shortly afterward. My husband met me outside and told me our son had been hurt and needed me.
I found the boy lying on the bed in much pain. As I turned wholeheartedly to God, the room seemed filled with the presence of spiritual light and love. I spoke to him reassuring words, reminding him that God loved him, that nothing had happened to him for Love had been right there all the time and there are no accidents in reality. With an inspired authority I declared, "There shall be no more pain" (see Rev. 21:4).
