No Limit to God's Love
[By a college student]
Colleges forced to raise their tuition rates. Student financial aid that can't cover these increases. Dwindling job opportunities for students. As a student I found if I accepted this dreary picture, the outlook could be pretty grim; but when I stopped to acknowledge the true facts—that man is dependent on God, infinite Love, not on human benevolence—my needs were met.
In Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy writes: "'God is Love.' More than this we cannot ask, higher we cannot look, farther we cannot go." Science and Health, p. 6; There is nothing erratic about God's love, and there is also no limit to God's love. We don't have to worry that our needs may not be met, or that there isn't enough love to go around. God's love is never in danger of running out.
Christ Jesus explained God's love very simply: "Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him." Matt. 6:8; He was so positive of God's loving care that he was able to give thanks when he was faced with a crowd of hungry people with hardly any food. And not only were all the people fed, they even had leftovers!
