The statutes of the Lord are right (Ps. 19:8)

The word translated "statutes" here means "things appointed or charged," and refers to the commandments. Some meanings of the word translated "right" are "just" and "straightforward." Later uses of the word in the Talmud add "strong, firm, healthy."

Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins (Ps. 19:13)
