In Pursuit of Happiness
I was looking for happiness but somehow couldn't find it. Life was amusing. There were things to do, people to meet, places to go. But it just wasn't satisfying. If only I could see what was missing, I thought, I'd be the happiest person in the world!
There were plenty of life-styles and ways of living to choose from. But which one was for me? Which one was the right one?
I accomplished little through experimentation. If anything, my life became more confusing, more miserable. Although surrounded by new faces and settings, I felt lonely and lost. Nothing seemed genuine. Elated one minute, I was sad the next, restless, and craving stability.
