My first several years in school were unhappy for me
My first several years in school were unhappy for me. I didn't get along well with my fellow pupils and I didn't pay attention to the teacher. My parents and the teacher worked with me but failed to improve my attitude appreciably.
Before I started in the third grade my family moved to a larger city where there was a Church of Christ, Scientist. My mother became an active member, and she enrolled me in the Sunday School.
I attended a private school that used advanced teaching methods. My behavior and performance became much worse, and I hated to go to school. When this situation became apparent, a Christian Science practitioner was asked to help me through prayer.
