For many years I have gained great comfort from reading the practical proof of our healing religion given in the many testimonies in The Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel. I too would like to add to this storehouse.

Over fifty years ago my uncle told my mother she should look into Christian Science because a client had told him of the healings he had had through its study. How grateful I am that this man spoke up and so brought this wonderful comfort into my mother's life! She visited a Christian Science practitioner for treatment and was healed of chronic constipation.

Several months later, after receiving a second medical opinion that her son had serious hip disease and should be admitted to hospital without delay, my mother wrapped the child in a rug and traveled by train a hundred miles to see the same practitioner, who prayed for him. The little boy was soon sitting up and asking for food. Later, despite medical opinion that he would never be able to walk, he walked and ran normally. When he joined the Air Force, he had no trouble passing the medical examination and served for eight years. His childhood healing was complete and permanent.
