During Christmas week of 1972, I received a letter from the Clerk of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, thanking me for my over fifty years of membership. I felt this was the greatest Christmas present I had ever received. I felt quite overcome at the thought that in this large membership each one was noted and cared for lovingly.

No words can express my gratitude for Christian Science and the blessings and help that have come to me through the years. Much ill health has been overcome, and many problems have been solved, with the firm trust that "if God be for us, who can be against us?" (Rom. 8:31.)

One special healing stands out for me—the overcoming of a severe heart attack. This trouble had been in my mother's family. My husband, who was not a student of Christian Science, was away in North Africa with the Army during the Second World War, so that when I suddenly became unconscious, no doctor was called. My daughter heard me fall and immediately phoned a Christian Science friend of mine, who came to me and, when I recovered consciousness, talked helpfully to me and arranged to contact a Christian Science practitioner to give me treatment.
