The seven churches which are in Asia (Rev. 1:11)

While there may have been other churches in the area, the seven mentioned were probably the most important. All are located on the peninsula known today as Turkey, and all were under Roman domination during the persecutions of the reign of the emperor Domitian (81–96 A.D.), when the book of Revelation was probably written.

Every city or house divided against itself shall not stand (Matt. 12:25)
