I was raised in Christian Science and have had it all my life

I was raised in Christian Science and have had it all my life. It has given me not only health and happiness but a strong sense of direction in times of uncertainty. There were times while growing up when I questioned my ability to successfully apply Christian Science to heal. But these doubts and fears were eliminated the more I grew to understand the Science of my true being as reflection of the divine nature, which we learn in Christian Science.

I have had many healings, some of which were those of polio as a young child, a broken leg set and healed through prayer, a skin condition when I was a student in high school, and discordant human relations. I was also healed of grief at my father's death. Being a recent college graduate, I am very grateful for the support Christian Science gives one in meeting challenges and making decisions involved in college life.

A healing of a sprained knee was significant to me because it happened so quickly. I was dancing in a show and fell one night during rehearsal. I hobbled home that night, but was unable even to get out of bed the next day. I was expected to dance that night because the opening night was not far away.
