The Discipline Problem
A woman was having a difficult time working out a discipline problem with her son. The child seemed willful and rebellious. Even though the little boy was quite small, it seemed almost impossible to resolve the problem humanly. She decided to work it out through Christian Science.
The mother talked to a practitioner, and was awakened to see the boy spiritually, as a pure, joyous, and perfect expression of God instead of as a stubborn little mortal with strong likes and dislikes. Though this new view greatly helped the situation, still more lessons were needed.
Christ Jesus loved children. There was genuine love in his saying, "Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven." Matt. 18:10;
