Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for the Christian Science Sunday School I attended from about age ten through high school. But upon graduation from high school I went from the farm to a large city to attend school, and at this time discontinued attending any Christian Science services or studying the weekly Lesson-Sermon or reading the periodicals. My mother was a student of Christian Science, so I was never far removed from reminders of the good to be experienced from study and daily prayer.

For about twenty years I continued my way, always feeling that I was a Christian Scientist but not taking advantage of its blessings. When our children were of Sunday School age, we decided that some spiritual guidance was in order for them, and I knew by now it was time for me to continue in the understanding of the Science of being. We began attending a Christian Science Society, enrolled the children in Sunday School, and gradually began to study the Bible Lesson and to subscribe for the periodicals.

After about three years the smoking habit suddenly left, and the desire to drink socially went with it without any specific work or help from a Christian Science practitioner. Soon after this I applied for membership in the society I was attending and was admitted. Along with this came healings of catarrh, hemorrhoids, and of severe headaches of long standing. Treatment from practitioners was received along the way for more urgent healings, with the above mentioned healings coming almost unnoticed until complete.
