Speaking Up for Our Faith

The world over, people are asking questions about God—His nature, the purpose of His universe, and individual man's place in it. They want to know: If God is indeed all-powerful good, why should some people have abundance and others starve? What...? When...? How...?

Can you give the answers?

A student of Christian Science may think (and rightly) that he could throw at least a ray of light on some of the points raised. He has himself gained satisfaction on many of them through researching the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. "Yes," he may say, "I do know the answer to that." But, all too often, he may hastily add, "But it isn't easy to explain. Let me give you a pamphlet (or a copy of the Sentinel) to read. This will tell you better than I can." But will it? At that point the inquirer may not want to put forth the effort to read a book or magazine. He may just be looking for a simple, not necessarily profound, reply. Is it not reasonable for him to get it from one who professes to understand and believe?
