Christian Science Is Not a Bottle of Medicine
There are many who believe Christian Scientists turn to prayer for healing and just substitute prayer for medicine and that's about all there is to Christian Science. Of course that is not true. Christian Science is not merely another remedy for sickness; it is much more than that. It is the way to eternal Life.
In answer to her own question "How would you define Christian Science?" Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes: "As the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony." Rudimental Divine Science, p. 1;
The law of God is demonstrable in the overcoming of sin just as it is in the healing of disease. And we need to be sure we are striving to overcome both disease and sin.
