Where do I start to tell how much I love Christian Science and...
Where do I start to tell how much I love Christian Science and how it is daily teaching me more of God's infinite goodness? I could fill several pages recounting proofs of His care in the lives of our family and me.
At one time while I was bathing our older child, I suddenly felt I must check on our toddler. I found that she had tried to climb down from the high chair, catching her neck between the armrest and the tray bar. Her head was hanging and she appeared lifeless. I picked her up, closed my eyes to the evidence, and declared with all my understanding of God a sentence from Miscellaneous Writings by Mrs. Eddy, which I had been applying to another situation (p. 277): "No evidence before the material senses can close my eyes to the scientific proof that God, good, is supreme." I felt God's love right there. In a while I unconsciously glanced down, and she smiled at me.
Another evidence of the operation of God's law occurred when a large truck ran a red light at an intersection, completely demolishing our car which I was driving, and injuring our other daughter who was with me. Immediately I called my husband and a Christian Science practitioner to help me know the facts of God's government and that all was well. The truck driver stated that he was not guilty. After the police had left, a gas station attendant came up to tell me that he had seen the truck go through the red light, and he signed such a statement. Our little girl had been thrown to the floor of the car and could not use her arm. Through the prayer of the practitioner this condition and the shock I suffered were healed in two days.
