Weapons That Disarm Violence
We hear of so much violence in various forms, day after day, that it's all too easy to become callous to it.
Are we tempted to pass over the problem, believing that violence is simply part of human nature that must be accepted? Do we think of violence as some untamable gargantuan creature we can only try to hold in check? We need to know that it is no part of God's nature and hence is foreign to man, for, in reality, man is the perfect expression of divine Love.
Violence in the world represents, as it always has, individual thoughts of antagonism, frustration, rebellion, egotism, and so forth. Certainly these traits can be healed, but only by the progressive expression, in each of us, of Christlike qualities. As Paul says, "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God." II Cor. 10:4;
