Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing(Phil. 3:16)
Most modern translators follow a shorter version of this verse, ending at the first "same." Good-speed translates, "Only, we must live up to what we have already attained." Paul's word for "walk" here has the basic meaning of "walk in line, or in order"—a reminder of Christian discipline and unity.
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope (Ps. 16:9)
