An orphan relates how, when he was about seventeen, he was almost thrown out of the institution he lived in because of his reaction to a lack of understanding. A visit to a nearby Christian Science church that same evening, a Wednesday, brought inspiration on the topic of reaction. The young man saw how he himself had been willful. As he learned, with the help of a Christian Science practitioner, to see the orphanage superintendent as a "reasonable and intelligent expression of an intelligent God," to use his own words, the inharmony quickly dissolved, and his residence and schooling were completed.
