Ur of the Chaldees (Neh. 9:7)

Ur (u as in urn) was an ancient and prosperous city south of Babylon on the west bank of the Euphrates, a seat of the worship of the moon god, Nanna, or Sin. The Chaldeans, or Chaldees (kal-deésa as in add), were later rulers of the Babylonian Empire.

In returning and rest shall ye be saved (Isa. 30:15)
