Christian Science was first introduced to me by a dear aunt...
Christian Science was first introduced to me by a dear aunt, when I was a young woman. Although I did not become a really serious student right away, I loved it and had a lot of help from it. Much later, when I was faced with a severe illness, I had become vitally interested, and was grateful to have this wonderful religion to rely on for healing.
The illness began on December 20, just as I'd started a holiday from my job. I became paralyzed from the waist down, unable to stand or walk.
My family, who are not Christian Scientists, became alarmed and urged me to have medical help at once, but when I explained that I wanted only Christian Science treatment, they accepted my position, and were endearingly kind and helpful.
