You Can Have Fun, Honestly!
Larry and his friends wanted to have fun one Friday lunchtime. They went into a dime store. The boys started picking up little things. Without paying they put them in their pockets. They thought all this was fun. But Larry knew it was stealing. So he didn't join in.
Then all the boys were caught, including Larry. The other boys knew that Larry hadn't taken anything. But they said he had been stealing too! They were trying to rob Larry of his good name, just another kind of stealing.
The store manager reported the boys to their school principal. Then the principal phoned all the parents. Larry's mother and father were asked to come to school with the other boys' parents the next Monday.
