SPIRITUALIZING THOUGHT

what it means and how we do it

Spiritualizing thought means learning to know God. To know God is to understand Him and to dwell consciously with Him. Spiritualization means bringing our motives, attitudes, and actions into harmony with absolute Truth, or Spirit. It means awakening to our own at-one-ment with the infinite Principle, Love, as God's reflection.

Spiritualization of thought is the open door to immortality. Our Master said, "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." John 17:3;

Spiritualizing thought means divesting ourselves of negative traits, sinful motives, materialistic tendencies, finite conceptions of man and God—replacing these with the pure immortal consciousness of Spirit and of man's perfection. It means the deepest Christianization of daily living. This purification is our resurrection going on. "Resurrection" is defined by Mrs. Eddy as "Spiritualization of thought; a new and higher idea of immortality, or spiritual existence; material belief yielding to spiritual understanding."  Science and Health, p. 593; Here is the question: How can we spiritualize our consciousness? How can we speed the daily resurrection process?
