Plug In to Reality
Faced with a problem of health or behavior resisting solution, I often find myself reasoning, "What I need is a better understanding of God. How much better I don't know. How long it will take to get it I don't know. What I know is that there are plenty of things I can do right now to bring the needed enlightenment."
Then I jot some of these things down. Recently when I did this, there were six. Considering a certain spiritual fact for example, God's love for man—I can wire a number of different circuits between it and my thinking. Here they are. I can (1) ponder the evidence for its existence (2) affirm its existence (3) analyze its characteristics (4) give thanks for it (5) praise God for it (6) resolve to make my behavior conform to it.
At any moment we are free to plug our thinking in to divine reality. God's creation is composed of infinite spiritual entities or facts, any one of which can be utilized. We can affirm its existence, analyze it, be grateful for it, and so on. The list given above, by the way, is just a beginning.
