Healing through a sense of immortality

To be immortal is to be ever-living. To understand and affirm man's real immortal selfhood brings healing.

Disease is a sense of mortality that is powerless to oppose God, the immortal Life of man. It is powerless to terminate this Life. God is the vital, harmonious Principle of man's health and existence. This Principle knows or causes nothing contrary to its own all-inclusive goodness and love. Mrs. Eddy writes, "Instead of God sending sickness and death, He destroys them, and brings to light immortality."^{ Science and Health, p. 206;}

Matter and all its conditions—specifically disease and the fleshly body that seems to harbor it—are figments of the mind of mortals. They are no part of the real man, who is constructed of God's qualities, and whose health is His indestructible perfection. Man's health is as perfect, harmonious, and immortal as the creative Principle itself.
