Christian Science came into our home when I was two years old. The doctors had pronounced a bowel condition incurable and had said that I would not live through the night. A neighbor, who knew of the problem, knocked at the door and asked my mother if she would consider Christian Science treatment for me. Although my mother knew nothing of this Science, in her extremity she grasped at any ray of hope. The neighbor called a Christian Science practitioner, and in a very short time I was healed.

Both my father and mother began to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, together with the Bible, to find out what had brought about my healing. Two other children were born to them after that, and all three of us attended the Christian Science Sunday School and became earnest students of Christian Science.

At the age of nine I was healed of pneumonia. With the prayerful treatment of a practitioner I was back in school, completely healed, in a week's time. During my sophomore year in college I was healed of inflammatory rheumatism when I was willing to let God's will be done.
