It has been my blessed privilege to grow up in a home where Christian Science is the way of Life. Childhood problems were soon met through firm reliance on God.
When I asked my mother to relate some of my healings as a child, she replied that usually when symptoms of a physical problem appeared, they were so quickly healed with a declaration of truth by a practitioner or by my parents that the problem had no opportunity to develop. This bears out Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 369): "The prophylactic and therapeutic (that is, the preventive and curative) arts belong emphatically to Christian Science, as would be readily seen, if psychology, or the Science of Spirit, God, was understood."
A healing which has been outstanding to me took place while I was in college.
