Apathy? Vote It Out!
Approximately one of every three people who were eligible didn't vote in the 1968 presidential election in the United States. What kept those people away from the polls?
Many would say that apathy had a lot to do with it. Apathy— an inert state of thought produced by a feeling of individual helplessness to bring about change, an inability to understand the issues, or a negative reaction to the value of voting.
How can we counteract this indifference? Christian Science teaches that no problem, large or small, is without a solution. As we turn receptively to God, the source of all intelligence, we discover the right ideas to restore true concern. And the place to start is in our own consciousness.
