Having been a Christian Scientist all of my life, I feel it is time that I testify in our periodicals to the results of my study and practice of Christian Science over the years.

I have experienced and witnessed many healings of disease in our family. In my childhood I was healed of attacks of tonsillitis. Headaches that lasted for two or three days and kept me bedridden have also long ago disappeared from my experience. This healing came over a period of some years. It was finally accomplished through an improved disposition and by the understanding that God never made a law that could cause pain or suffering. I saw that I had been held in bondage not by law but by fear of certain material, recurring circumstances claiming to be law. This healing has brought me great joy.

Another healing was that of weak arches. It was difficult for me to walk on pavements in dress shoes with any comfort. One day, as I walked along in agony, I knew that the time had come to overcome this condition. I turned wholeheartedly to God for inspiration and healing thoughts. It became clear that since God is Spirit and infinite, His likeness must be spiritual. I saw that man is a divine idea of the one divine Mind, upheld by divine Love. With this realization came an instantaneous healing, and I walked as if on air.
