John M. Dixon III is a young executive in ITT Sheraton Corporation of America. He played football at the University of Montana, and then studied law in his hometown, Spokane, Washington, eventually earning a degree from the New England School of Law. For a time he managed a restaurant for basketball star Bill Russell in Boston's Roxbury district. Then he joined Proctor and Gamble and later Shell Oil as sales representative, and became sales manager in New York for Sonesta Hotels International Corporation.
Do you feel that your people are gaining equality and justice fast enough?
No, I don't. What progress there's been has mostly touched the talented tenth.
