Church Dedications
Doncaster Free Press
October 9, 1969
Members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Doncaster, will hold dedication services this coming Sunday, October 12. Two identical services will be held at 11 a.m. and 6.30 p.m., to which the public is invited. Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
Negotiations for purchasing the present building, formerly a rectory known as "Hope House," situated at 98 Balby Road, were begun in 1952. Architects' plans were drawn for extensive alterations necessary for providing accommodation for the church auditorium, Sunday School rooms, nursery, and Reading Room. Midsummer, 1954, saw the completion of all alterations, and the registration as "A place of worship."
