True Therapeutics

Christian Science is not just an alternative to medical treatment. It is not a sort of spiritual medicine cabinet that we can turn to if conventional methods fail to work. There aren't two parallel routes leading to good health. Just one route. And it's the one that reveals health to be spiritually natural and shows us how to demonstrate it here and now.

Mrs. Eddy's discovery is not only true therapeutics but also the most important and revolutionary scientific discovery ever made. She was first in this era to recognize and teach in a usable way the spiritually scientific fact that matter in all its forms is only a mistaken sense of the true spiritual universe created by God, which is eternally perfect, untouched by sin, disease, and death.

As a result of this discovery she reached the logical conclusion that disease and the body that seems to harbor disease are mortally mental in nature, counterfeits of the real man and his eternally harmonious experience. They are subjective states of human thought. The primary body-belief has sprung from mankind's age-old ignorance of Spirit. Disease has emerged from individual acceptance into thought of the evils bred by this ignorance: fear, hate, lust, and strongly held medical beliefs. These errors darken and disturb thought and then picture themselves as sickness on the mental image called body.
