When you see a long and deep cut close and begin to heal before your eyes due to prayer alone, you know that God loves and heals mankind. We had just this experience in our family through the application of Christian Science.

Our three children were roller skating on our cement patio. I asked them to come in to dinner, but they continued to skate. In a few minutes I heard a crash and crying. I went out to find that one of the older children had fallen on the youngest, who received a deep cut under her chin. We quickly went into the house, where I sent the two older children to study "the scientific statement of being" on page 468 of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy while I quieted and cleaned the youngest. We all declared the words from this statement: "All is infinite Mind and its infinite manifestation, for God is All-in-all." I knew that this manifestation could not be disobedient or marred in any way.

Leaving the youngster with the oldest child, I went to phone my husband for support and advice, but he was in a business meeting and not available. I stood silently waiting for the right answer I knew my heavenly Father would supply. At once, as though the words were spoken, I realized that there was nothing to fear. This child, when very small, had been healed overnight of many and severe facial cuts resulting from an automobile accident. I saw that perfection was already established, and that this tumble and its apparent effects could not alarm me anymore than could the repetition of a bad dream—and it was a dream, nothing more.
