At Christmastime a few years ago I was attacked with pains in my limbs and back. There was stiffening that made walking difficult. I prayed as taught in Christian Science. At times I would be quite free, and then the pain would come back again with force.
It was Good Friday of the following year when fear gripped me. I had not feared the trouble until then. So I asked help of a Christian Science practitioner. On Easter Monday I was able to tell her I was well and express my thanks for all the good.
A few weeks later, while on holiday in the English Lake District, I walked up and down five hundred steps hewn out of rock to view a lovely rock garden on a private estate. I thanked God that through the teaching of Christian Science I had felt the presence of the risen Christ. The practitioner had talked of the risen Christ on Good Friday when I called her and asked for treatment.
