We Can Be Happy Now
What is the secret of happiness? Some may think that if only they had more money, a new house, or a new car they would be happy. Others think that their unhappiness would disappear if they had a good companion. But don't we sometimes find that those who have the most are sometimes the least happy?
The thought that if one can get something he doesn't have he will be happy is based on the false premise that man is a mortal, separated from God and incomplete. The real need is to gain the right understanding of God and of the real, spiritual man's completeness as God's image. As we learn more of God's nature and of His tender, loving care for His children, we are on the way to demonstrating true, lasting happiness.
True happiness is not dependent on person, place, or thing. This statement may seem transcendental, but it is really very practical. Each individual has the right and ability to experience all of infinite good. Good is not something far off but right here and possible of attainment now.
