At Home with God
The Bible states, "Blessed are they that dwell in thy house." Ps. 84:4; Just what and where is this divine dwelling place? How can we be at home with God?
The dwelling of the real man, the man made in God's likeness, is the divine consciousness, the All-God. As the very manifestation of divine Love, man can never be outside this home. The house of God, the infinite consciousness of good, is not composed of material things but of spiritual qualities and ideas. It is not a physical structure in time and space but an incorporeal manifestation of good without any restrictions or limitations.
This happy abode can be found by human beings only as they gain a more expansive understanding of God and the real man's relationship to Him. Writing of a class taught by Mrs. Eddy, one of the students relates, "She told us that the home of the Christian Scientist is in the understanding of God, his affections and interests are there, and his abiding place is there."
