I have received so much benefit from testimonies I have heard at Wednesday evening meetings and read in our periodicals that I hope an account of my wonderful healing through Christian Science may in some small way encourage others who are seeking freedom from the ills of the dream of mortal life.

For almost eight years I attended a Church of Christ, Scientist. During that time I did not want to go all the way with this teaching. This would have meant giving up social drinking, emptying my medicine cabinet, and relying fully upon God. At last I stayed away completely from the church services. And then one day I found myself alone in a hospital room, and that room was located in the isolation ward for tubercular people.

I had gone to the hospital for a leg condition. The physician said it would be necessary for me to have a complete physical examination. After my chest had been X-rayed, the physician pronounced me tubercular and had me confined in the isolation ward. My spirits were at their lowest ebb.
