"I have lost nothing"

[For young teens]

Mothers and daughters love to share, and the wide gold bracelet Kathy's mother wore was always in use. How handsome it was— so beautifully polished—and on it were engraved the names of Kathy's eight nieces and nephews! Her mother smiled. She'd give it to her some day.

One night, driving home in city traffic, Kathy looked down at her arm. The bracelet was gone. Her mother's bracelet! But instantly Truth gave her the thought, "I have lost nothing. God has made me in His image and likeness—complete! Actually, I'm as much a manifestation of God as the sunbeam is of the sun. What God has, I have right now by reflection."

Kathy was giving herself a Christian Science treatment, something every Christian Scientist does when a problem comes up. Young Christian Scientists pray this way seriously. They expect to be healed by understanding what the real nature of man is and then by acting in accordance with that truth.
