The First Date Is with Manhood
[For young teens]
"Wish I was older," thought Bill. "I wish my voice would stop cracking. Wish I had my own car—and my own license to drive it."
His thoughts were interrupted by the teacher's voice. "Billy, would you please come here and pick up your papers?"
As he walked down the aisle of the schoolroom, he resumed his wishing. "Wish I was tall and full of muscles like George over there. And I wish people would call me 'Bill' instead of 'Billy.' "
