Our family have received many blessings in the years that we have been students of Christian Science. One outstanding healing convinced me beyond any doubt of the power of God as understood in Christian Science, and this healing has been a support to me these many years during testing times.

Some eleven years before the healing I am about to relate, we were shocked (my husband, our daughter, and I) by the sudden passing of the youngest member of our family who was under medical treatment. At this point we knew nothing of Christian Science, but a dear friend, whom I called, came over and told me some truths she had learned from the study of the Science of Christian healing. This talk resulted in my first healing. It was a healing of grief over the passing of the boy.

About a year later another son was born, and he was constantly ill. Our daughter was having continuous medical attention, I was in poor health, my husband's business was in difficulty, and he had lost three close friends by untimely passings. We were indeed ready to embrace the teachings of Christian Science when they were again presented to us by a friend. We did this without reservation. In a testimony in the August 14, 1954, Sentinel we expressed gratitude for this unfoldment and the blessings that came into our experience.
