Look on the Right Side
[For children]
Every summer, when school was out, Wendy went to live at a summer cottage on Sunrise Lake.
One June day she and her mother drove to a farm to pick strawberries. For several hours they went up and down the rows filling their baskets. When their baskets were full, they started to drive home. Suddenly dark clouds hid the bright sunshine. Wendy looked up. The sky was black, and high winds swept across the highway.
Mother started to drive faster. "All the windows at the cottage are open, and it looks as if it's going to rain hard," she said.
