It has been many years since my first healing in Christian Science

It has been many years since my first healing in Christian Science. I was ill with a strained heart muscle. At that time two attending physicians had told my parents I could never again lead a normally active life. It was very discouraging to me because I had always loved outdoor activities, swimming, ice-skating, and so forth. After I had had several months of forced inactivity, a neighbor brought a member of the local Christian Science church to our home to call. That first visit with a Christian Scientist convinced me that this was what I needed, and a Christian Science practitioner was called to visit me the following day.

After a few such visits, which included Christian Science treatment, I was well enough to be driven to the practitioner's home. After two or three calls at her home, a distance of about two miles, I was able to walk there for further treatment. My progress from that time on was speedy. A few small setbacks only strengthened my purpose to prove that I was a perfect idea in Mind and was made in the image and likeness of our Father-Mother God.

Since my first healing Christian Science has been my only physician for over forty years. An untold number of healings have been experienced.
