When Christian Science came to me, I was in a very bad state...
When Christian Science came to me, I was in a very bad state and had looked into numerous religions to try to find an answer to my problems. I was bitter and resentful over many things, and my young son was seriously ill with a heart condition.
Late one evening a friend came with the book, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. He said that it could help me, and I accepted it gratefully. As I read from one of the pages, I suddenly felt as if a great weight had been lifted from me. This was what I had been seeking. I felt the presence and power of God right there and knew that all was well.
Although later my little boy passed on, I realized that nothing could ever separate him from the love of God. He was free, whole, and perfect; and the understanding of this truth removed any sense of grief. I had said that I would never have any more children, but Christian Science removed my fear of having another sick child, and later I had two very normal and healthy children.
